TECHNICAL DATA
A Magnetic Base with Adjustment and 580 N Adhesion is a precision workshop tool designed to securely hold engineering measuring instruments, primarily dial indicators and dial test indicators. The 580 N (Newton) adhesion force equates to roughly 59–60 kg of holding power, providing high stability against slips and vibrations during measurements on ferrous surfaces.
Core Product Features
• 580 N Holding Force: Provides heavy-duty, magnetic clamping power that ensures the base remains rigidly locked onto machinery beds, lathe chucks, or milling tables.
• Rotary On/Off Switch: A mechanical toggle lever redirects the internal magnetic flux. Turning it "On" attaches the base to steel or iron, while "Off" releases it cleanly without leaving residual magnetism.
• V-Groove Base: The bottom surface is machined with a V-profile, allowing the base to sit securely on both flat and cylindrical surfaces like shafts, pipes, or round stock.
• Fine Adjustment Arm: Built-in micro-adjustment controls (usually a thumbscrew mechanism) allow users to zero out indicator needles precisely without manually nudging the main arm, preventing setup errors and hand-shake deflection.
Common Applications
• Machinery Alignment: Squaring up milling machine heads, tramming tables, or centering workpieces in a lathe chuck.
• Runout Testing: Measuring the radial and axial runout of rotating shafts, rotors, or spindles.
• Inspection & Layout: Ensuring parts meet geometric tolerances during production setups or quality assurance checks.
